THE PLAN IS MADE!

The Botesdale and Rickinghall Neighbourhood Plan started with a small group of residents who felt that the community needed a Neighbourhood Plan to identify the characteristics of future development with the villages. A public meeting was held on 18 January 2018, following distribution of a public notice to every household, and was attended by about 80 residents as well as a representative from Mid Suffolk District Council. A further meeting was held on 30 January, attended by 32 people, to establish a forum to prepare the Neighbourhood Plan. That meeting agreed that the plan should cover the whole area of the three parishes, Botesdale, Rickinghall Inferior and Rickinghall Superior. Seven nominations were made to form a Steering Group, which met on 9 February 2018 to establish the details of overseeing the development of the Plan. The Steering Group had representation from both parish councils and was supported administratively by the Clerk for both councils.
