Rickinghall has an interesting network of well maintained public footpaths. The Parish Councils of Botesdale and Rickinghall have jointly produced guides to the local public paths:

This is a new map, produced at the end of 2016, and it provides three circular walks of 1 hour (2.75 miles), 2 hours (5.5 miles) and 3 hours (9.5 miles). The long walk is a slightly shorter variation of St Botolph's Way.

If you experience a problem wih a public footpath in Botesdale, pleaseĀ email the Parish Clerk.

The Suffolk County Council website has more information about a wide range of issues relating to the County's Public Footpaths and is well worth a visit, if only just to browse.
